Thanks for the help on this, just a quickie,

            1) Which of these do I want of this page ?? http://www.toyotahilux.com/index.php?doc=11&cid=139
            2) Anyone know where to get ES9000s??
            3) How do I know if my surf has been lifted?? (and therfore require longer springs??)
            4) How long will removal of old shocks and installation take a mechanic (so I can gauge the labour cost)??

            Cheers!!!!!

The gas shocks are the 9000s Four shocks can be replaced in under an hour.
If the distance from the centre of the wheel to the wheel arch lip is more than 15" then the truck is lifted.

I am still not sure (sorry I know NOTHING about this at all) so I have taken a photo of the back wheel and measured the distance with a tape measure and added a diagram to the picture. With these dimensions in mind, which would I order from this page
                  http://www.explorerprocomp.co.uk/aca..._ES9000.html??

Or is there a better place to get them from....
Last thing (I hope) what are boots and do I need to buy any??

boots is a pharmacist. it's been about for years. you don't need anything from boots to do your shocks - except maybe some plasters if you cut your finger while doing the job.
i swear, it was like that when i got here...
