quite well known... you'll not need another filter for 100,000 miles, so i guess it's cheaper than buying 10 paper filters?

ok sorry guys,i just got this through in my email from roughtrax as a new product. and your right dave i must of fallen asleep under my truck how could i of missed that thread.

Must say, even though I generally get ignored when I do, , any filter that
has something similar in its description:

'performance filter offers maximum air flow with reduced restriction of the
intake system thus optimising horsepower'

is a simple way of saying it lets a lot of $hite get through into your engine.
These types of filter were made for one purpose. Racing teams whom strip
and rebuild their engines regularly. If you are after a filter that actually does
filter to a useful degree, I wouldn't touch one with a bargepole.

Do K&N make a filter to fit the surf, and if so I would think it would be about the same price and chrome plated!!??
