  • +2'' shock absorbers

    Hello,

You would think that all you have to do is phone/email someone and you'd get a set of +2'' shocks - but no.......

Roughtrax - out of stock, not sure what we're having next?????
    Milners - don't do 'em!
Procomp UK - out of stock, not sure etc...
LA Supertrux - not returning call/mail.
American sites = 3 weeks delivery (amazing deals though, $135 for 4 shocks and the steering damper and shock boots).

Does anyone have an idea of where I can get a set of +2'' gas filled shocks in less than 3 weeks??? Not really bothered about the brand.

TonyN - You got any lying around you want to sell?

Your right, there seems to be a UK shortage of shocks for Surfs ATM!

I've left a message on my LA Supertrux secret hotline, but Nigel is in the US for a few weeks, so only the 'minions' left there ATM and they seem to be really busy.

Mark, Linda, Vince, TonyN - Thanks for quick replies..still no joy though!

I've just drawn up a threaded spacer to go between the top of the shock and the body mount - gonna get a friendly engineer to turn a set up and see what happens....

Will this work - Ideas, suggestions??? Will I need ball joint spacers as well?

Anyone know what dia. thread is on the top of the shock?

I want to fit 33'' tyres so I have to go at least 2'' suspension lift - 3'' wouldn't be an issue. (I've already done a bosy lift)

Easy to do the rear, and I'll fit diff drops to the front.

Why you ask? Have you got +3'' or is this just a wind up
