    Thats why the 2.4 was replaced by the 3.0.
    <conspiracy theory>

    Toyota KNEW about the weak 2.4 heads but had millions of them, so they reduced the amount of fuelling to keep temps down in the hope the heads would last until out of warranty - and they did until people started chucking in more fuel.

    Anyway, if you pour more fuel in, you need to get more air in for a stoichiom.. stioc... stochio... ................. proper burn. When are you doing the 3mm of washers mod and strapping your head down?

          The 'Max Power 998cc Corsa engine detonator kit'

          "Get an extra 200bhp from the included pile of cheap sh1t 'momo' stickers, an anodised air filter, a huge dustbin exhaust trim, a huge plastic spoiler and a bleach blonde chavette 15 year old baby machine with pink chewy and a pale blue baseball cap"

            OK!!! Due to rain (and wind) stopping play (tyreleneing me garage) i managed to do this adjustment, the thimble cap came off quite easy'ly whithout me mullering it, marked the original position with white paint and turned the screw anout 5 clicks clockwise, without getting carried away i gota say what a difference the usual is= i backout the garage and with pedal nearly to the floor she crawls "up" our road and the turbo comes on just before i get to the top, this time she went up the road a lot quicker, the turbo came in earlier, and she actually changed gear before i got to the top
            Took it for a short run only about three miles (mostly up hill, going) and am most impressed, the temp did'nt seem to rise any quicker than normal, even kept up with a landy who was definatly trying to outrun me, I'll leave it at this setting and see how it goes for now, keep an eye on fuel, temp etc although i dont mine a slight increase in fuel consumption (it's cr@p anyway)
            if it means a bit more poke,

            Right whats next??????

                  I've just tried this on mine. Cap needed pursuasion but once off I turned the screw seven clicks clockwise. Short journey of around four miles from cold and definately an improvement. Nothing on the guages to show concern but I will see what a longer journey is like in the week. Keeping the socket and screw driver in the car just in case!

                    Just how much are you turning that screw?
