  • uprated brakes.

    now the first thing ure gonna say is (I TOLD YOU SO).but does anyone know if theres an uprated brake kit for the surf.i had a little bit of trouble stopping leaving the pub last night.

    I dunno if it can be done, but how about fitting the brakes from one of the larger/heavier Landcruisers?

        mmmmm,thats a point vince i will have to look into that option,i was thinking of machining grooves in to the disc and cross drilling them.and see if they do a harder compound for the pads.

                I think so, 'cos Lucky used to have 'cruiser wheels on his 2nd gen.

                      right if thats the case then all i have to do is find out the diameter of the cruiser discs and find out if they will fit in the space available.

                          This will not improve braking except for off road use to stop drums filling with mud .
                          I think the Landcruiser option maybe best but you would need to up the size of wheels to clear the calipers .
