  • 2 and a half years since last MOT :(

Just had a report back from the garage and the following need replacing:

2 x front inner UJ boot
2 x front outer UJ boot
    4 x Ball Joints
    2 x Gear box mountings
4 x Lower Steering Arm bushes
4 x Upper Steering Arm bushes
    4 x Trailing arm bushes
    2 x Engine Mountings
    2 x Rear bump stops
    1 x Flexible Exhaust Joint

Plus the usual oil changes, filter changes and a greasing of the appropriate nipples! Cor, this lot is going to kill me!

    A couple of ponits....

What are they calling the trailing arm bushes....the Rear radius arm bushes?
There is only one gearbox mount
Upper and lower steering arm bushes.....Wishbone bushes?
Do you really need the bump stops? They often snap off, I normally throw them in the bin, especially if you have longer shocks, it rarely needs them.

Some of the stuff is main dealer only, do you want me to get a price?

Language problems again...so I'll double check with Martin on monday. I want my bump stops fixed as I have a habit of crashing into/across holes and with the rear fully loaded I hate to hear it bottoming out with a crash!

Thanks for the offer of pricing things up but we are due to leave at the end of this month:

Kenya: Uganda: Rwanda: Burundi: Tanzania: Zambia: Zimbabwe

And time is flying so I'll just have to do what I can locally.

Just realised that if I am "crashing" as I said above then my shocks and springs need checking!
