finished work yesterday morning, sitting at traffic lights and noticed a steady
puff of grey/white smoke?? have seen plenty of threads and thought s**t its
either head shagged or gasket blown. no smoke on pull away thou.
no temperature problems, no power loss. same problems today, so i have just
drained and flushed the radiator and refilled and burped it. took it up the road for thirty minutes to get it warm and to my surprise no smoke ? am i kidding myself or could a blocked rad cause this problem with smoke

    Could just be atmospheric conditions.

If vehicles behind you had their lights on, then the smoke does look alarming due to the lights shining through it,
but it also could have been condensation burning off from inside the exhaust if you had not long started the engine, mainly due to the colder damp temperature of this time of year.
