I can't wait to get mine up and running so I can meet you at the Pit.

One button is for the light, the other to set the altitude.
Left to right angle goes up to 30deg, front to back also goes up to 30 deg, I have had mine resting on the stops both ways so if your within these you ain't got no worries.

No book that I know of (I could be wrong ).

If I were to set up the clinometers I would use a scaffold board and sprit level on a carpark floor to find a horizontal footing to place the front wheels. Then set the horizontal plane (middle gauge) of the Surf (Front wheel to front wheel) to zero.
For the longitude gauge (far right) repeat the proceedure but use the left front and left rear wheel.
As for the Alti meter I would find a reference point on a map for height above sea level park it and adjust it to suit.

Hope this helps but once you get driving your surf all this will go out of the window I think.

a good way of resetting the altitude marker is to find your nearest trig point ona map and drive as near as you can get to it and reset it that way. bear in mind it could work yhe same way as aircraft altisand use air preassure which you can find on the net on weather pages.
