  • What projects/mods we all up to then....

    OK – list of this summers projects so far....

    1. A 1 1/2 ‘’ body lift.
    2. A top mount intercooler.
    3. Take off the entire air con system
    4. New Sony CD/radio
    5. 4 new Maplins speakers all round.
    6. Front and rear extended diff breathers
    7. Take off front and rear anti roll bars.
    8. Insert two fog lamps in rear bumper
    9. Fit two driving lamps into front bumper.
    10. Tow bar wiring into rear bumper.
    11. Fit spring loaded ariel.
    12. Change oil in both diffs & transfer case oil, ATF, brake and power steering fluid.
    13. Changed the timing belt a few weeks back.
    14. Fill washer bottle (?does that count?)

    So what’s next? Why, the post man has been! And what’s in the box? Why, it’s my new air bags to fit onto the truck and have air suspension.

    Upcoming projects – fit air suspension and crank up front suspension; stainless steel shackles; roof rack; air horns (well, you just gotta!); snorkle.

    Beep beep!

    What's everyone else working on - I don't think I've got enough to do LMAO

    EDIT - starter motor contacts - forgot that one!

    all i managed to do this summer was 2" bodylift, removal of the old bullbar and spots (A-bar and spots waiting to go on) and fixed the full beam.
    i swear, it was like that when i got here...

      1. new es9000s on rear (failed mot)
      2. 20% stiffer rear springs
      3. new exhaust (failed mot)
      4. air con removed
      5. new starter motor (to help starting)
      thats whats been done up till now. next to do.
      1. fit 2 inch rear spacers
      2. wind up front torsion bars
      3. fit wheel spacers all round
      4. save up for some at tyres

      5. oh yes, fix rear passenger o/s window
      6. get new arial ready for when i snap mine.

      any one got any part time work £50 ph

                      as of the start of this year
                      1.remove 2.4 engine and junk transfer case front axle and gearbox.
                      2.fit race prepped 5ltr rover tvr hybrid v8.with uprated bw c63 auto transmission.
                      3.fabricate s/s propshaft
                      4.junk front seats.fabricate new mounts and fit cobra monacos.
                      5.fit jvc head unit,kenwood component speakers up front,pioneer component speakers to the rear,two 12" pioneer subs,one 600w jbl four channel amp,one jbl 400w amp.
                      6.60mm body lift
                      7.lc springs on rear.
                      8.es9000s all round with lime green sleeves.
                      9.strobe lights fitted to the headlights
                      10.toyota racing development black wooden steering wheel.
                      11.anodised black wheel centrs
                      12.fabricated rock slides.
                      13.modified standard toyota auto shift, for quick shift using original toyota auto stick shift.
                      14.fitted high pressure fuel pump.
                      15.fitted auto vac gauges,oil pressure gauges.
                      16.fabricated exhaust system out of 2.5" and 3" s/s.
                      17.fabricate bonnet bulge.air intake.
                      still to do.
                      1.roll cage
                      2. rear bumper
                      3.fit large tacho
                      4.rear slung spare wheel carrier.
                      5.roof lights.
                      6.front winch bumpers.
                      7.33" mud tyres.

                        I'm still practicing my newly accquired skills on the little Zook (the profanity filter is not working then).

                        I'm planning tubular front bumper/A-bar combination, tubular rear bumper/recovery points/tow bar/fog light combo, rock sliders and possibly external roll cage - once I get the hang of the pipe bender!!!!

                        I still have the intercooler in the garage when I get around to it.
                        It's only a hobby!

                          OK, since I bought my 3ltr in September....

                          1. Fitted 31" Greenway Machos on steel rims
                          2. Fitted bonnet guard
                          3. New steering wheel
                          4. Land Cruiser Springs
                          5. ES3000 shocks all round
                          6. Bushwackers panhard kit
                          7. Jottos diff drop kit
                          8. Raised front suspension 2"

                          Still on the list....
                          1. 2" body lift
                          2. Winch
                          3. Additional lighting
                          4. Considering fabricating some new mud flaps as the standard ones seem to rip off too easily
