i had water injection on my nissan sunny and it slows the engine slightly when it kicks in but it meant it could run slightly leaner in the top end. im always amazed at the concept of injecting water into an engine but it seems to work in terms of making your engine last longer at high boost pressures by stopping the dreaded detonation.
