After taking some advice from from previous posts to cure rear axel knocking noise when negotiating speed humps - I've finally made and fitted some drop brackets for my anti rol bar.
whilst I was underneath my truck I found the cause of the knocking. - My anti roll bar has been clouting the hand brake cable mounting lugs on the trailing arms. Is this normal. Even with the drop brackets fitted - it still bangs, although not as much.
Thinking it could be worn shockers????
Anybody had this???
Also noticed, and may be adding to trouble, that where the bar runs through the bushes on the axle - there is a lot of free play 0.5 -1.0 mm. should the bar be allowed to move or rotate inside this bush??
