Well it took 2 months over a grand and finally I got me truck back.
Head cracked on the way to Newquay in August.
The mechanic said it was the worst engine block he had ever seen.
he recons it had been run for years without being serviced. It had never seen coolant and the engine block was corroded.
he says because it had stood for so long there was water ingress into the pistons.
What really $$$$es me off is the Wan/ers who sold it to me. They said they replaced the cam belt and serviced it when I bought it.
Before you ask Ive got no come back with these $$$$$$s either.
The upshot is the Surf looks like it is gonna have to be a keeper for awhile.
