    Hi there surfers,
    anybody ever experienced vehicle vibration/shaking at around 30/40 mph??
    I've just bought a 96 3rd gen with a set of tyres that are only 2 months old.
    had wheels balanced but has'nt made any difference.

    Could be a wonky wheel bearing somewhere.

    Or maybe coming from the prop shaft (maybe had an offroad ding) although a rare problem.

    There are lots of greasing nipples all over the both prop shafts and various suspension points - give em all a good seeing to!

      Swap them

      Try putting back wheels on the front and vice versa. For some reason after having wheels balanced, tracked etc, which didn't help, just swapping round solved the problem.

        balance

        have they been balanced propperly . was they balanced by the wheel studs or a centre cone . i found this to be problem if they are not balanced on the studs as the center hole is not true

          national tyres used to have the facility to balance on the car and i always found it to be the best method
          i think national tyres dont exist anymore but try the big ones ats etc and see where the nearest on car balancing is available
          at the end of the day................ it gets dark

            I've also found that if they use those stick on weights they sometimes fall off and you have to get them re balanced!
