The original Scimitar was good for 80mph (if the governor was disabled) and could beat an XJ6 away from the lights .........

The J60 engines didn't last too long under those conditions though !

If you have the money buy an Alvis FV432 NOW!!!

The Army is getting rid of the Saxon wheeled APC as it doesn't offer enough protection in Iraq. All the FV432's they have are going to be rebuilt and up armoured. This means that there wont be any more released and the prices will go through the roof. If you buy one of these you will be making a very good investment. They are road legal to drive too, as long as the rubber blocks are fitted to the tracks and you take a tracked licence test and have a commander and are linked by an intercom system (built in)

im about to buy a scimitar thats bene el camino'd
the guy im buying it off has a 330 bhp scimitar.

Great site!!! brings back some memorys.....spent many of hours in some of these vehicles waiting to be recovered, breaking down is the only thing that could be garrenteed, especially the $$$$$$ landrovers, and anything with a rolls royce engine in it. reme realy did have there work cut out..
