    some questions if i may....
regarding a 96 3.0 litre ssrg i was looking at-does this new engine also require servicing every 4K miles ?
how do i guarantee that the mileage is accurate?

the deal I was looking at was only 1 month warranty - back to the garage and was a basic fit out (no cover in the boot) and a ghastly great big air conditioner that monopolises the ceiling and no sunroof, automatic £8,999 and 54K.

My M reg 4 runner has done 123,800,i bought it for £6,700 3 years ago (89K) and I think it is still good for another 70K but is a little scruffy and is the bog standard UK spec, sun roof doesn't work a bit of corrosion on wheels, some minor scratches as the wife pounds it through mother in laws hedge etc
how much do you think I could get for it ?
I change the timing belt every 60K - did you do yours? this year I think
the clutch will need replacing / 4 new tyres and the front disks have some corrosion therefore I think this will cost £1,500 with another service? that is why I think I ought to trade up. at what price I could get for my existing does it make the upgrade worth it?

Ask the dealer if he is a member of Bimta and if he is he should have checked it already,if not pay £17.62 to have it done http://www.bimta.org

A sunroof is not essential when you have five opening windows - Air con front and rear.
Price looks ok Mileage looks iffy.

One thing to be aware of with dealers who advertise their 'bimta'
membership, is do they actually check the mileages? the dealer in Bristol I bought mine from was Bimta registered and relied on this fact to give their customers peace of mind. however when I pressed him for the written mileage check he admitted they dont actually do the check unless you ask them and then they charge you!!

I did mine direct with bimta and they were very quick and accurate!
