Only thing is, they are for petrol engines and do not have the engine warning light window, but you can get around that

      Keith,

Just looking at one site that is showing these type of guages and they seem callibrated differently - certainly for my Surf.
Namely, my speedo is the old kmh one with a change to the drive gear in the gearbox... so the clock itself goes up to 160. The guagues I saw demo'd only showed 110 mph. I'm guessing you checked yours - but just a pointer for anyone else..... check what numbers the new & old show !

      Cheers,

      Jim

Yup its fine, and would be ok for yours without the change to the drive gear

They do look good, but they are the ones without the hole for the needle rest on the speedo gauge. I made this mistake when I originally bought a new MPH face to replace the KMH face when I first got my surf. I bought one marked sold as being for 2nd gen, and it's calibrated correctly, but it was the one without the hole and also had the hole for the main mileage readout about 2mm too high. A bit of work with a tiny drill and a stanley knife and both were sorted! (Why is it different though?)

However, not knowing how these "Glow Gauges" work, can these gauges be "adjusted" in a similar way or will that affect the glowyness?

the reason for the difference is, the electronic speedo needle rests on a peg, the mechanical [earlier model] speedo doesent have one

Yeah, that makes sense - mine's electronic
              Thanks.

I'm not going to get these particular gauges, because as well as that mod, they don't have holes for the LEDs for Turbo and Engine Check in the rev counter gauge, and they also have "Unleaded Fuel Only" written across the bottom of the speedo.
