Knocking noise at rear

Have you let your hostage out of the boot? I released mine and the noises went away.....

so thats what it was i hear a big thumping noise for ages what was it ? now i know it was your b.... hostage in the midle of the rd at last i can rest now knowing what it was `lol

I had one of these.

Have you checked the tie rods that go from the each end of the rear roll bar to the chassis?

One of mine failed the MOT because it moved up and down, when I checked the other this was as bad but passed? I replaced both and the clonk has gone.

Wheel bearing prehaps? Mine make a definate clunk when it was on the way out...

Have you have checked the jack is is secured properly under your rear seat?
