I've been towing a horse box regularly over the last 3 1/2 years and I've never selected the hard setting.
And that's with the truck filled with horsey and camping gear.Another member of the 'A' team

Its all a matter of choice, if you want to keep it out of the scenery and not grind your fog lamp off on the tarmac I would go for stiffer rear springs and dampers on hard. This assumes you are pulling something hefty, not a baggage trailer, mind you standard surf springs would sag under a trailer full of hydrogen!Parts of your engine go up, stop then go back! Mm!

Before I changed my suspension I always ran hard setting when towing, as it stopped the back end acting like a trampoline. But my sisters new truck feels as stiff as my uprated truck when on the normal setting, so I'd advise you try both and see which you feel more comfortable with.Gone from 4x4 to 1x2
