    Oh No!

I have just remembered, I am working all that weekend Saturday and Sunday, so I can’t go!

As for the beach having a reduced access, I went to the beach in July and it had wooden stakes ramed in the sand, stopping you from driving any further onto the beach. Ainsdale has not long been awarded the Blue Flag award for a clean beach. Perhaps they closed off most of it while they did some work?

You can get on Southport Beach off the Island right next to the fun fair.

I have been talking to Marky and we r sorting out a FAMILY BBQ again on the beach at Ainsdale-on-sea , just 4 miles south of Southport.

Last year we had a great family day out 22 surfs on the beach can we get more this year and have more fun and games.

Lots of room on the beach. Southport for the fun fair and its only £3 to park on all day on the beach. One or two of use have big BBQ and I hope they will bring them lol or u can bring your own its up to u. We can sort out food when we know how many r up for this.

I was going to sort it out for the weekend of Sept 10th Sunday. Meet up at 11 to 12

      Everyone welcome new and old.

Hi guys/gals, I'm sorry but the 10th is not a go-er for me. Baptism for Aric that day so going to be busy all day long. Would love to come along too and bring the castle for the kids, but cant make the 10th. Sure you will still have a good day though.

Fingers crossed, Amelia and I can make it.... in our new Surf.

The only thing that might stop us is that I'm in Hospital on the Tuesday for a spot of exploratory surgery, but fingers crossed I should be fighting fit by the weekend.

                      Southport local

Ainsdale beach is still open. The bit that is now about the size of two football pitches is Birkdale beach in between Southport and Ainsdale

I remember as a kid and when I got my first car you could drive on any part of the beach from north of Southport pier all the way to south of Ainsdale - about seven miles.

Ainsdale is now used alot for kite surfing and kite buggies, so bring them if you have them. Just don't expect to see waves more than 3mm high.

I'll come down too if I can and then tell the wife that it is sheer coincidence that you lot are there.

You need to start taking more water with it Chris, you've had my name on the Leeds outing for three weeks mate. But hey, another bump on this thread always helps and still sorry not to be able to join in at Ainsdale. And for heavens sake, will someone take sunblock this time, Marky in bright red still haunts me, LOL
