        it works

i used to have a peugeot rallye car that tended to get a bit warm, i met someone who works for a rolls royce garage who recommended they use it in their old vintage ghosts etc so i gave it a go and it actually works !!! - wetter water eh, what will they think of next

How can it reduce coolant temp by 65 degrees when the thermostat is set to keep it at 82 ?

Just noticed 65F how much is that in C?

            Hello,

I used to run a metal plating department in a factory - we had nickel, ni/chrome and zinc processes.

We had to use wetting agents in all the lines - and yes, it really does make water wetter!

Approx 15 degrees celsius. It literally makes the water retain and transfer the
heat more effectively, thereby removing more heat from the block. Think of it
more as 2 litres of coolant flow with the additive will remove as much heat as
3 litres of straight coolant mix.

I put Watterwetter in my Surf when I first got it (being paranoid about the overheating business (even on my 3.0L!)). It hasn't overheated (yet) but that doesn't prove much. Half a bottle in the system every coolant change (i.e. once every two years) won't do any harm at least.

also a quick question. . can you overtreat?
if a full bottle does 15 ltr and my 3 ltr takes 9 ltr of water whould it make it too cool if i put the full bottle in?
could it make a difference to my heated fuelcat?

there is actually a diesal water wetter available.

There is a pdf available about it here
                          http://www.redlineoil.com/whitePaper/9.pdf

It claims that under their tests that it only reduces temperature when mixed 50/50 water/antifreeze from 228f to 220f.

                          More info here
