Success ...
... of a sort.
Finished putting on the new head today, pretty sure everything is back where it should be. Took 30 seconds or so for it to start (pretty much expected as it had to refill the injectors with fuel). After it started it seemed ok, after a minute when it had settled down idle seemed smoother than it had been (it had been very lumpy).
However... after a few minutes it was back to a very lumpy idle, and there was more smoke than usual coming out the exhaust. I'm hoping the smoke is just it burning off any excess oil and stuff from fitting the head. However the lumpy idle isn't good, and it does seem to be down on power. The injectors were basically black and coked, so I'm hoping that that is the cause of the lumpy idle and loss of power. Nothing coming up on the check codes.
Fingers crossed however, it won't drop coolant and overheat again.
