I was hoping to take he missus to a certain posh hotel overlooking Looe harbour for her birthday (over August BH would you believe). However, it's fully booked. Can any of you Cornish chaps recommend anywhere really nice, quiet, posh pretty much anywhere in Devon or Cornwall as long as it's overlooking the sea? Max of about £120 a night?

Cheers mate. A bit more specific, I'm looking for somewhere small and personal, say 20 rooms maximum. This is the one I fancied

Hadn't considered Falmouth actually, I'll have a look on Google. More suggestions welcome.

Hope you enjoy yourselves and also a bit of history The Penlee lifeboat was stationed just down the road at Newlyn which was the last major incident which the crew all died in 1981.There are some lovely coastal drives and walks all around that area aswell.
Glad to be of some help

I was taliking to a supervisor at work today and he says you won't be dissapointed with the hotel as the lifeboat he also a crew member off use it sometimes for charity events. It must be good views there too as he does oil paintings and one of his latest ones is view from just above the hotel out to the sea
