its a shame the first real heart they showed was when the captin was injured and the (LONE!) striker was sent off.
as for only supporting winners i used to have a season ticket for wimbledon before they sold out and moved to milton keynes, interest in footy greatly reduced now. stick with me truck.

Its all lack of maturity he will know better in 2010 in South Africa
I think this one is Brazil's again but when u see the differnce in style an the way the whole team flows and doesnt rely on a Green Ogre to win the world cup for them.
I remember us going out on penalties in 98(i was only 13) to Argentina holding my head in my hands, an i did it again this afternoon

      Well theres always next time
I know I said I'll leave it at that but, trying to be un biased, the red card offered to Rooney was a little bit OTT, I think it was more for his gentle push on Ronaldo than for the foot in Cravalhos knackers! Still not to mention the fact the ref was Argentinian, OMG did I say that?? not that I'm bitter but some of his decisions did leave a bit to be desired, or am I looking through rose tinted goggles???

I might hate football but not since I was a young kid watching footy sat at a fold away table in my parents house have I seen footbal like Zidane in the France v Brazil Match. England lacked energy, commitment, had terrible first touches, absolutely diabolical passing and ridiculous formation that frustrated Rooney (clearly from a pyschological point of view never mind his reactions!) and we frankly deserverd to loose. I've not seen an England team play like they are actually proud of being English or proud to be footballers that I gave up on football. End of.

For years there has been an attitude that England deserves to win everything but I have seen so many games where it looked like the players just turned up to get their latest cap and add another £1M to their price tag, but despite that I did feel that this time it could be different. I think some players will return from this competition and be able to hold their head up high. Others will not!

Indeed it will! I'd be surprised if Ronaldo stays in the UK for too long TBH. I mean, national TV saw the sly wink and the headbutt. He's supposed to be Rooneys team mate! I reckon Fergie will have something to say about it too!

The France - Brazil game shows how great the game can be if played by two non-cynical teams. France will slaughter Portugal, through the medium of football rather than the medium of falling over and surrounding the ref demanding a red card.

Lennon was great, looked nimble and worthy of a place in the team. CAn't be said for many of the other player, you would have thought mummy had to threaten with stopping them going to thorpe park next weekend if they didn't get up and tidy their room
