...removed a hose, repaired it with that fabric tape/amalgamating repair stuff, then gone to replace said hose, only to realise you've repaired it with the tape to tightly to possibly get the thing back on again!! Aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!

today while replacing rad, knew the top hose had leak by the clip and spent 10 minutes fixing it, followed by 10 minutes trying to fit the thing, followed by a further 20 minutes taking all the cr@p off again, then another 10 minutes to redo the fix.
the hose alone took as long as putting on a new rad!!!
anyway, another lesson learned i guess.
