Another SVA question

There seems to be a few SVA questions at the moment but one thing i'm unclear about is..... Does an import only have the SVA done when first registered and then normal MOT's every year after, or doeas it have to have an SVA every year, even when it goes over 10 years old which mine will be at next MOT time. (registered 1.1.94)
If this has been answered previously i apologise cause i have looked but cant find it.

if import is under 10 years old SVA is required for one time to be uk approved for road use
