The original fuel cat was designed and used on Hawker Hurricane fighters, to allow them to use lower octane fuel on the Russian Front. I believe the fuel cat, when used with veg oil, bio diesel or any slightly impure fuel, will have a positive effect. I am not so sure about it's worth when using relatively pure fuels available in the UK. Linda fitted a fuel cat to the bullet and reckons that she is getting an extra 30 - 50 miles from a tank full of dino diesel. If it only lengthens the life of the fuel pump, due to it having to deal with a lower viscosity oil, then it is probably worth the effort.

If its as good as it says, it would be well worth it. Giving me an extra 15% per tank would be great. I would save enough in the first month to pay for its self.

If you're engine needed more air, the big spinning pump thing in the inlet tract (otherwise known as a turbocharger) would be supplying it.

And telling the engine management system that it's doing this.

I wouldn't bother.

ah, but you could get a bigger turbo and uprated wastegate, re-map the ECU etc. etc.

if there was too much air / pressure then the ECU would cut the engine anyway

For the most effective power increase, fit a freeflowing or straight through exhaust. Especially where it exits the turbo.
Have you ever tried breathing in through your mouth and out through your nose whe you have a cold?

Never thought of it like that m8... ta...

I went for the inline fuel cat instead from Philip in the end... and just started to run a 50 - 50 mix of veg - deisel.. all is wicked up to now..

Will be moving to a heated one i think toward the winter....
