i don't know about the heat thing though, maybe its just conducting the normal heat from the engine bay???

LMAO.... nope it definatley isnt conducting the heat from the bay... its hotter than the surroundings lol..... i will run it to work int he morn an see what happens... will soon find out if owt wrong... 25 miles shud be enuff to test it i reckon....

But on the upside if it does "heat up the fuel on the way through" then its gonna be good for usin a veggie mix.... which i intend doin once i get my h whatever form back... just sent in my EX103... da da DAAAAAAA... so kinda lookin forward to it...

Will let ya know if owt falls off.....

Okey... had to take it off and put the original pipe back onto the filter from the inlet as surf wouldnt start... just got loads of greay smoke coming outta the back.... it seemed like it was fuel starvation as it kicked in then dropped out, but as soon as i put the old pipe back on and pumped the fuel filter pump, it turned over juddered then has purred all the way to work....

Not sure what to do now could do with some solid advice on what could be the cause.

I went for a 5 mile drive in it after fitting the cat yesterday with no problems then this morning didnt work....

Any Ideas???

Okey dokey... Spoke to TonyN.. (thanks m8) will check out what you said... if there is a blockage will let ya know... have to do it this lunchtime... hooray for inside jobs... grrr...

Looked at the cat... seems ok no major blockage.... now not worried about the heat from it....

going to try and get rid of the airlocks in the pipes again to see if that makes a difference....

will check it out tonight as work is kinda gettin in the way (how rude)

okey tried again... same again this morning though... wondering if the units airtight... as it looks like air is getting into the system...

will check all connections for leaks aswell at same time... i aint givin up...

Hooray!!! did a refit of the pipes and added some new hose clips (rather than the toy ones that came with the fuel pipes) and .........


It started first time this morning! gonna watch the fuel consumption now to see if better... will wait till i got down the fuel though as got tank treatment stuck... and gotta get it unstuck...

the prob was the rubbish clips that came with the fuel pipe.. i dont think they could get tight enough, replaced them with couple of decent hose clips and bobs yer uncle .. runnin sweet now...
