  • Brake load adjuster thingy

Since putting new springs on my Surf yesterday (the old ones were sadly low)
the brakes have been really pants and it feels like the rear brakes are doing most of the work. Will this be anything to do with the brake load adjuster?
If so can it be adjusted and how is this done? Thanks for any advice

Fiting new springs SHOULDN'T have made a massive difference to the brakes.

True, the adjuster will be at a different angle, but it'll 'think' there's less weight in t so the rear brakes the back, so the rear brakes should be used less..

At least, that's the way I understand it...
    It just does, OK?

With my old springs (leaf , but still well sagged ) the rear brakes were working to much as the valve thought there was weight in the back , so I was locking the rears up and skidding . When I fitted the lift springs I had the opposite and had no rear brakes so I cut and extended my link . Yours should be spot on(ish) if you have fitted standard height springs .
