I bet that one of Mark's must look nice. The one I'm looking at is
making me drool, and it practically needs stripping back to the
flesh and redoing.

Just as an update, it's finally on the front lawn now. Three months of begging
really does work. 4WD works fine as well, (as I found out when the rear wheels
sunk into the wife's flower border, so had to flick into 4WD to save spraying soft
soil all over the garden).

If you really, really want me to, (I'm gonna assume you all said yes anyhow ),
I'll pop up some more pics of it later.

Became distracted with a repair. Just taken some quickies, including the ever
gratuitous engine shot. Have also put up the couple I took during the daytime
last week, so there's a clearer view.

Now just got to prep myself for the amount of restoration work I've to do on her.
Structurally, she's sound, and the engine runs okay, so it's generally not a case of
having to do a full rebuild. Plus, did also get some spare used parts with it. Front
axle, water pump, drums, starter motors, gearbox, (bell housing cracked but
internals okay), propshaft bits and some other bits and bobs, so pretty well sorted.

BTW, Vince, you wouldn't happen to have a link for a download for a user manual
for a series 2 gypsy, would you? Damned if I know what the original knobs and
switches are for.

I already get that regarding the Surf. So, being the ever doting husband, my
usual response is:

At least I get something back out of the Surf for all the money I spend on it.
