Can anyone recommend some good towing mirrors that fit the surf?
My last set were bought from Towsure but over 10mph I can't see a thing they shake that much.
I am looking for some flat ones rather than convex.

I use the ones that fit onto the wheel arch. Big mirrors with no shake. Got them from local caravan dealer.

I'll see what make mine are. They fit to the door mirrors with rubber straps and don't shake at all, even when towing at 80MPH ............................on a private road.

If your truck is as wide as the tin snail it is not necessary to have the mirrors
Im not a gynacologist but ill have a look

I can't think of many cars which are as wide as a caravan, maybe a Hummer? I don't think the Surf is particulalry wide, it is broad across the bottom but comes in very quickly above the waist. I see lots of big 4x4s towing with no mirrors because they can see a bit but stick the mirrors on and see the difference. You can probably blag your way around town with no mirrors but get on a dual carrageway and there is no way you can see anything coming up to overtake you until it is almost sitting on the end of the 'van.

These are the same as the ones that i use now.
I`ve tried more expensive one but they were a waste of money.
In this case for myself, cheapest was best.

I use these and they're fine at speeds up to 85mph (NOT in this country of course !)

I've heard lots of 4x4 drivers say that extension mirrors aren't necessary when towing a van BUT it's b*ll*cks as most 4x4's are narrower than than the average large car (my old Volvo was 6" wider than the Surf and the Paj) - the larger mirrors give a good field of view but they leave a HUGE blind spot !

Life is too important to take seriously !

Yeah, these are what i have already I might be putting them on wrong though, How tight do the straps need to be?? Do they need to be megger tight, They were quite awkward to put on if I remember and didn't feel that solid?

                          Any advise appreciated

i thought it was a legal requirement to have towing mirrors... but looking on t'net it seems a bit of a grey area!

I thought it was a requirement to have the offside one, if the trailer was wider than the car.
