  • Proud new Surfer!

    Hey guys n gals,

    wow dude! SURF's UP!!!

scratch the Merc, as on this thursday its a J plate 2.4 ssr-x in 'almost-blue' - er a shade of metallic red actually, but hey, its my first truck, so theres room for improvement.

right, thanks for the tips on buying the thing - much appreciated. My next starter question for 10 (bl**dy newbies..):

Where in Worcestershire can i go to get a good all round service? after that, is there anywhere nearby to get the Surf serviced as well?

Its got 12 months MOT and went through without a hitch (so i'm told) but I don't want to be shelling out a small fortune on new engine / head just because I didnt get it serviced. whaddaya think?

If any veteran Surfers are round and about the worcester area and would be interested in taking a look-see to tell me what you think of my new truck, that would be welcome. It seems dead cool to me, but i know diddly squat about these things.

p.s. anyone wanna buy a merc 250 td estate F plate, 12 month mot, 1 month tax, squeeeeeeeeeelie breaks, less trim than it should have, and all in almost-blue (er, gold)????? nah? ah well, ebay it is then!

OK, its not 'red' (picky). well, its prob. officially metallic burgundy, or wine, or port or some such, but I dont pick it up till thursday, so no pics. OK?

      some people, sheesh.

                    I beg to differ!

I live in Worcester and have tackled all of the servicing jobs myself. Its about the easiest car to work on I've ever owned, there's just so much space!

That doesn't help our new member at all though... I don't know of any Surf specific places in the area, though there is a decent 'general mechanic' in Upton.

surf services in worcestershire or near by?

I am really hoping to get it serviced for peace of mind, so what about Toyota garages... but i guess i could have bought a 3.0 for the same price as a 2.4 + toyota serviceing... or am i wrong? I usually goto BJH Motors in Worcester, who are merc / bmw specialists, expensive but good.

                      any advice?
