There is also a chap in Barnsley who repairs/rebuilds rads. Might
be able to beef your original up.

          I know mine is a 3.0L but
I had mine recorred with a higher efficiency core - something about a 3 row offset 'stag' type he also binned the original atf cooler as the design is a bit sus, it was porous and he couldn't get another one (nearly blocks the bottom outlet) he retained the top tank but made a bigger bottom tank, fitted a atf cooler from a Landy (excuse the swearing) I also fitted a lower temp stat and toped up the viscus fan and my gauge has not been past 1/2 way since.
got most of the info from the Ausie site masses on there about keeping cool but unfortunatly have lost the link - I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction.
I know others on here like binning the built in and fitting an external or fitting an extra in line cooler, I was prepared to go that way but my mod has worked so well I havn't needed to.
          good luck
Did I mention I have a BLUE one

I replaced my 2.4 auto rad with a manual one and put a seperate oil cooler in and it worked fine even when towing the 16' trailer with the zook on it
