  • Black Bullet needs some good vibes please!!

    She's very sick.

Tony took her for a little pootle today, and her oil pressure dropped very low and she got very tappy. She is now sat on the hard shoulder waiting for the nice AA man to come and take her home.

If we're lucky she might have just damaged her bearings, but Dr Tony says if we are unlucky and she has damaged the CAM shaft she might need a whole new head.

So can you all send her lots of good vibes that its the lesser damage and wish her a speedy recovery?

(PS. Good job the 4-runner got retaxed 5 days ago. Phew)

Hmmm...Bullet kept the Big Red Garden Ornament company when she was sick.
                Hope everything is sorted quickly....
Meanwhile I shall go to the corner and vibe away for all I'm worth....

                    oops, I broke the Bullet!!

                    hehe, poor baby.

I was on my way back up the A22 and thought, hum, she sounds a tickier than usual, I must check the valve lash when I get home, but oil pressure was hanging in there, on the line as usual.

Then we hit the M23 and she started to go rat-tat-tat, instead of tick-tick.

So I checked the oil level, plenty in there, but on idle the needle is barely off the bottem of the gauge, reving brings to the first line, which is technically OK, and it sounded a little better, so I drove up to the M25 junction and got on.

We made it to junction 8 then the oil pressure that was left took a dive and it went knock-knock-knock instead or rat-tat-tat so we called it day and rang the AA.

Now we're home, Bullet is outside the garage cos there is a truck with no head on it hogging it ATM and the dogs and me finally got have a desperatly needed pee!!!

ATT Stevo, one set of main bearings, one set of big ends and a oil pump please mate and fingers crossed on the cam and head, cos it turns directly in the head, no bearings to replace...... EEK!!!

                    Happy days.......

Subtle!! hehe. I'd planed to go to Uckfield this morning, and finish getting the top off your truck this afternoon, but now its to late, and I've got a full service to do tomorrow, and get your head off, and sort the valve clearance shims on SDV and sort Cellone's stuff out for friday and worry about the Bullet and...............

Looks like no bank holiday for poor little me.....
