When greasing the front prop, you do not need to engage 4WD. All you have to do is turn on the ignition and put the gear lever into neutral, and then turn off the ignition and climb underneath. The front prop turns in freely in your hands without having to rock the truck.
When doing the rear prop, get your missus or a mate to get in the truck with you underneath. Tell them to take the handbrake off (making sure the truck is on level ground, obviously) and put your foot on one of the rear tyres, and push it back until the grease nipples are visable. Tell them to put handbrake back on.
Start at one end and work your way to the other. At the output end for both shafts in the middle there is a grease nipple that is sort of hidden. Make sure you get this one. All you have to do is get a good quallity grease gun, and some grease cartridges. Push the grease gun onto the nipple and pump grease in until you can hear it and see it coming out of the UJ's.
IMPORTANT - Let the pressure ease off (10 seconds) then GENTLY remove the grease gun, you might have to swivel it a bit to get it off the nipple. The nipples are very fragile, and you can snap them off if you are too rough with them....
