Please can someone explain what dimension ( which part of the tyre ) the following means for example:

265 -70 - 165

Is it possible in most cases to swap a 165 for a 175 ?
What can happen if you do this and the fit is not right ?

check you've typed that right...

should be a 265-70-16


16 is the rim size
265mm is the tyre width
70 is the profile as a percentage of the width
