Last night some drunken moren reversed off my neighbours drive into my surf. Barsteward then drove off, got his reg.

Now need new rear bumper and repair to drivers side rear panel. Anyone know where I can get the bumper ??

:Rant: I suppose the Old Bill, if informed, are going to wait the statutary 36 hours before going round to see him and take a breath test. Of course he will deny being the driver and it will have slipped his mind as to who was using the car.
In the mean time they will get you to go down to the nick and fill out a statement form. Then they will send one to the house that is similar but not quite the same, but thats OK because its from a different department. A month after that another form, probably from your counties accident reduction team (yeah I know- the same people who install the money making cameras) will arrive. You dutifully fill that one out. Several weeks later another copy of the second form you filled out arrives and you are so pi**ed off that you throw it in the bin.
Approximately six months after the accident you get a letter stating that unless you fill out form two, which they have never recieved YOU will be prosecuted.
You innocently phone with the incident number, to ask for a case update, only to find that they had decided not to proceed any further after two weeks had elapsed. "oh, and by the way, you still have to fill out that form we lost or we will nick you."
BTW. If someone runs into you, who is obviously very drunk, don't dial 999 because,"Non injury RTA's are not an emergency, you will have to call into your local nick."
Don't bother pointing out that you got off lightly and you are trying to protect the next poor sod he weaves into, because they will ask if if you have proof of his drunkeness.

Well its not what you know is it. Very friendly with local boys in blue, one phone call and an un official visit was made. I now have all the pratts details.


Damage is rear bumper and a crease on drivers side rear panel stretching half way up, said he didnt know he's hit it !!!! The alarms woke the neighbours for 4 houses each way !

Anyone recommend a good garage for repairs ??

had a wagon hit me last xmas he ran down the side of my car peeling the door back, after kicking holes out of his truck after persuading him to stop he said he didnt know he hit me. i think he must have been on drugs or sommat. his company insurance payed up! he got the sack
