Sorry for delay in reply John . I had to get the map out and refresh the old brain cell .
                    Start : Hereford - Bluith Wells - Llandrinad Wells - Llandovery - Llandeilo - Fishguard - Rosslare - through Ireland - Dublin - Holyhead - Snowdownia area - Warrington : Finish.
Basic route John as the road books get taken off us at end of each section to prevent future advantages of next event .

                    Hope that helps .

Alot of off road in Snowdonia was cancelled due to dangerous conditions , but a couple of guys did manage to venture up some of the route .
Shame really as there is never enough off road on these events due to being cancelled (same last year).
Only got 2 off road sections in the end .

Jon and me pay for all fuel , spares , food , hotel , etc ourselves . The event costs £100 to enter and £400 min sponsorship for charity .
If nothing breaks , you can do the event for £500 ish . ALL depends on how much distance you travel from home to event and event and then home , how much you eat and if you want to stay in a hotel the night before the event as we do .
We do it for the charity and then for the fun .
Jons Surf now needs a new autobox and a PAS pump !! So costs are going to be more then just the event . You never know whats going to break .
We also changed a rear wheel bearing and rear brake shoes the week before along with full service and all oils .

that seems quite resonable, i take it the auto box and pump were on there last legs any way.
do the vehicles need modifiying or can standard vehicles take the hammering,
                              sorry

Jons autobox had just had a new torque convertor front seal fitted which failed again dumping the ATF over the underside of the vehicle and anyone who followed . The PAS pump seized and Jon said he noticed no difference in steering weight , so , yep that pump was on way out anyway .

Standard vehicles do compete only with better then road tyres fitted
