  • HELP. Will Toyota main dealers look at Surf's?

    Hi,

Further to my 4WD problem, it looks like the automatic hub on the driver’s wheel is suspect.

Does anyone know if a Toyota main dealer will repair it? or because it's an unofficial import fob me off.

I need a repairer in the North Worcestershire/South West Midlands area.

Worcester Road Motors in Stourport have been fobbing me off all morning on the phone so I've no confidence in their after sales service if that's the attitude on the phone.

Any fast help appreciated as the after sales Warranty expires at the end of this month.

If you are still within the warranty period, they are obliged to sort it out. If not tell them you will speak to trading standards and create some bad publicity for them.

Here's a quote from their website.....

Do you give any warranty for the Japanese cars you sell?

All of our Japanese cars are sold with a minimum three months parts and labour warranty administered by Car Care Plan (excluding Bargain Basement vehicles).

I agree, to be fair I didn't buy it from them but I thought they might have wanted the business as the warrenty can be claimed by any VAT registered garage and as helpfull as the dealer was I bought it from he is in South Wales so it's bit far to travel.

Westlands at Bromsgrove are going to look at it tomorrow.

        Cheers.

I know it's not much help to you but my local Toyota (pentagon - Doncaster) happily works on surfs.

As there are quite a few, service manager sees surf money is as good as anyone else's

Also, not too bad on parts etc. (particularily filters)

Whilst not in your area , I was not being particularly well served by local Toyota dealers.

A friend put me in touch with an area manager for Toyota UK , who told me all the dealers had been informed that the service for all imported Toyotas should be on a par with UK cars .
Apparently they are realising they are antagonising a sizeable and valuable customer base.
If you feel you are getting a raw deal , I'd try getting in touch with Toyota UK about your local dealer.
