      &

      http://www.mooter23.f2s.com/index.html

are the 2 ideas so far... one very simple, the other lots of mud an stuff. if anyone has any other ideas (or pics to use) let me know.

by the way, all of the code validates and it meets level 1 accessibility guidelines (good things)
I got me a new Surf baby yeah!

        Deffo this one:

Its bold, nice, clean, fits with the site and gives the site a brand image. Don't like the photo-based one, just a bit boring and does not fit that well with the rest of the site.

A couple of other minor thoughts:

        - I know its going to be a .co.uk site but put "United Kingdom" or "UK" on the address and international numbers +44 (0)... on the phone numbers (the internet is worldwide afterall) - and let people know clearly on the shop bits if you will or will not ship to different countries etc.

        - Have the map clickable to the multimap.co.uk version of the map.

        - Personally I would advise against putting email addresses or "mailto:" code on the website - spammers web bots will eventually s$$$$e the emails from the site and you will start getting loads of junk. Better to have a contact form on the site which sends an email, assuming you can use .cgi or .php scripts to do it.
        No longer a Surf owner.

Looking good now the logo etc is in place. I've always been in awe of Codlords site and he makes several good points.

cheers matey... just what i was looking for!

                        address details now updated...

i can make the map clickable but the code wont validate... need to speak with a mate about this!

contact form is on the list... it'll go on the contact us page... but need to know what the 4x4toys server is running before i have a go.

                        oh... new logo...

and shop page now up too...

You'll find details of the server at www.morrs.com (business plan)

The site looks excellent, I'd vote for the logo with the cog

Now its down to Tony & Linda to choose

re: the logo... I like the newest one!

codlord - I'm trying to build the site so that the code is valid and that it meets level one accessibility standards....

your site looks great, but the code isn't valid
                            http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...nfo%2Fhilux%2F

if tony and linda aren't too worried about that then I'll just crack on... but it is something that should definitely be considered.

Sorry to be a party pooper guys, but this is the logo we're getting printed on the T-shirts and stickers, so it needs to be this one (for now, I have lots of others in the pipeline).
