Until i can afford/have time to do my heater matrix, i wondered if this would be a worthwhile temporary measure

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ceramic-car-he...QQcmdZViewItem

Has anyone used one of these?
Would it de-mist, de-frost the windscreen?
Or would i be wasting my money.

200 watts should heat the inside of your vehicle and it will only draw 16 amps and if its for only for the time being and gets you out of trouble.

When my heater matrix went i managed to get it recored for £60 instead for the £300+ MrT wanted
They can go fast, I can go anywhere.

I've got 2; both different makes when I thought I had a heater/demister motor problem (it was actually clogged with leaves). I found that they didn't work as advertised. Thats why I ended up with 2.

After reading trev`s reply i`ve decided to give it a miss and put the money towards saving for replacing and fitting a new matrix.

After taking a few bits and pieces off myself i think i`ll leave it to someone else.
Dont think i have the patience to fiddle about for hours on end only to find i still have half of the dashboard still on the garage floor after i`ve finished the job

Thanks for all of the replies

                  de mister

would someone take a picture of the white connectors on the right hand side of heater (by foot pedals)

                  but,
when they are in correct position to defrost screen,

as mine has long been inoperable.

By the looks of it, and despite operating all the push buttons, it appears to blow hot air out of the fascia vents regardless.

                  cheers

I bought the same heater as the ebay one for £6.99 in Woolworths as I want to mount to the rear interior to defrost the rear screen as I have no heated screen .
