On the news, some guy just got 9 months for stealing £350,000 from a hospital trust. 6 months in jail, not bad for that sum of money, which i think has not been recovered.58 grand a month. Is the law an ass or whot. No need to answer. To me would be simpler if someone was given a sentence, keeping in mind how much they would have earned otherwise, assuming they were working.
I for one, would be happy to do 6 months for £350,000.

Was readin an article earlier on today about a guy [cyclist] in Colombia who got 4 years for smackin a woman pedestrian on her backside. She had the choice of Smacking him back, something else or go forward with the case.

She took it forward on the basis of sexual abusiveness as a precedence!

Yep the law is an ass. i guy locally was convicted of hit an run...no licence, no tax, no insurance, stolen car and killing a 3yr old little girl.
The magistrates at Burnley Court jail him for 12 weeks for failing to stop.
          HOW do they sleep.
