  • Ouch! That ****ing Hurt and Other Stuff.

Had a wondrful day, so far. Went to the garage and filled up with diesel. Filled the jerry can with unleaded for the Zook. I presented my debit card and it was declined. I didn't have my wallet, so I had to fill in a form with my address, phone number, vehicle Reg/make etc. Went round the corner and put the very same debit card in the cash machine and drew £60.00 cash on it!!!!!
I went back to the garage, paid in cash and asked the guy for the slip that said my card was declined. He said there wasn't one but he showed me tha damn thing while the queue was building up behind me. Called my bank and they said there was no reason for my card to be declined. I'll be watching my statements carefully.

I went across to the Motorist Centre for a bit of flexi pipe. A guy in a Golf G.I.T. suddenly reversed, as I was crossing the road behind him and actually made contact with me. It could have been worse had I not been taking avoiding action. The worse thing was that he didn't know what he had done until I tapped on his window and asked him if he uses his mirrors. At least he apologised.

Went to the place where I got my angle grinder. They still sell them but don't have any steel cutting discs and haven't had them for six weeks. They are still going to stock the grinders and stone cutting discs, but there is no demand for steel cutting discs!!!!
Went to Homebase. They are in the middle of a refurb and although I could see the discs I wanted (at £3.49 each) they couldn't sell me any because that aisle was quarratined for stock taking.

I came home, filled the Zook with petrol and the ****ing thing would not start, despite a healthy spark, fuel to the carb etc. Rolled it half out of the garage so I could see what I was doing. Came to put it back and it still wouldn't start. I tried to push it into the garage but it kept stopping dead when it hit the little step up into the door. I decided to put my back to the tailgate and push it with my back. Me feet slipped and the tow ball went right up the crack of my a*se. That ****** hurt that did. Will I get Chalfonts?
I wish I had stayed in bed now.
    It's only a hobby!

lucky i wasnt drinking when I read that!
bad luck mate, nearly gassed myself startting the SJ in the garage as I didnt want to drag it outside so I put a piece of drainpipe on the exhaust to direct the fumes out the door... it was fine till it fell off!

think we found some probs on the sj, accelerator cable is sticking to setting the idle is useless and hose on rad wasnt done up so was peeing water but its still leaking out the new waterpump gasket, doh!

I had the same problem on mine, so I fitted a second stronger return spring, which stops the kangaroo effect over rough ground.
I'm getting my sense of humour back, although I am a bit confused about why the Zook won't start. The only thing I can think of is that some sh*t has got into the carb where i ran it out of petrol last weekend. I noticed that the previous owner removed the inline fuel filter and replaced it with a through connector. Looks like a carb strip on Monday.
Whoops! Should be one for the basement. We'll lose our lease if we are not careful.

well my dad says he sorted the cable tonight and it started ok where as yesterday it did not so thats good. he says it idles better although high but we got a 413 with Aisin carb so what do you expect.
I think our fuel filter is causing probs anyone know where it is?

also our rad is blocked up inside which we think might be casuing the overheating so need another one now... waterpump hasnt sealed so its all coming off again anyway! wheres my sealant!?
