They are all cool with me, however the Gen2 is better simply because you don't have to pay silly money. I can afford to run the truck and a car that does more than 19 mpg! If I had a Gen3 that would have to be all.

As my profile - I have a 3rd gen. When I went to have a lok I was convinced to buy a 2nd gen (3 litre) but when I took it for a drive the driving position was not as good as th 3rd gen & I couldn't live with the tailgate.
I can now open it, let the wife load the shopping and she doesn't moan that she's getting wet!
Agree that it doesn't look as "macho" as the 2nd gens but a bullbar, spotlights, a roofcrate, big AT tyres, JAOS mudflaps soon took care of that
oh, and it's BLUE!!!

IMHO - I like the 2nd gen best - oh what a suprise!
I was after a 2+2 toyota pickup and was having problems with autotrader online filtering out all the Surfs (look, I didn't know what they were back then ok!) - and then I saw one parked on my way to work, lots of chrome and butcher then the landcruiser and I thought, hmmm thats nice and I remember they were available for good prices. So bang to buck for a great looking truck!
But I do really like the MK1 too when it's jacked up like Ricks.Real trucks don't have spark plugs
