I used to use Fuli's Finepix software, but after I reformatted my PC a while ago, I haven't bothered loading it again. Windows XP recognises my camera, ad does the file transfers itself..

So, basically, yes, I use Windows XP!!
    It just does, OK?

I have a card reader - just shove the camera card in and treat it as another disk drive

First, are you using XP? Assume it's a yes..

Right. Go to control panel. (Start, control panel)

          Add/remove programs.
Find Fuji finepix on the list
select add/change/remove (or something like that, anyway!)
Select to remove the program (Don't worry, it'll only delete the program, not the photo's you've put in..

When it's been removed, you may need to restart, but might just be able to connect the camera up, and Bob's yer Auntie's live in lover!!!
          It just does, OK?

Plug camera in and turn on............
Start>My computer> Look for either <your camera> or may show as something like <removable media> click on it.
It should come up with the "What I want to do with this next" list
choose save to a folder on this machine.....
              that should start the wizard.......

Works for me after camera software was dumped............

Yes by far the easiest way, as long as you've got easy access to a free USB socket.....
                Cheers

I can get a big bag of chips for a quid, so that's definietly cheaper, and nicer with salt and vinegar. and gravy

                          I've never understood that.
Why do people pour gravy over chips? It's just not right!
