Been in touch wit c&e about the use of veg oil.

They said if i use it straight from super market shelf, i will have to pay an extra
47 pence per ltr duty
And if i use bio it would be 27 pence.

Has anybody been told anything diffrently???????
Where would i get bio from anyway?????????????????????.

It all depends whom you talk to at the customs office. They seem to make it up as they go along!

Tesco's, Asda, Sainsbury all do bio, most supermarkets do it, normally comes in boxes such as Persil, Ariel, Daz etc etc excellent on whites.

Bio been available for a while for commercial operators a lot of the bus operators use it. Only one Garage that I know of in manchester area that supplies it to all users but not checked out the prices yet

If bio is being sold it usually has the duty already paid - keep the receipt in the truck to show the customs if you get checked.

Yep. I sent off for the paperwork, filled it in but then other users were being messed about with the amount of tax to pay. So I thought, sod it! by the time the C&E office decide what they want to charge and Gordons had his 'slice of the cake' , I may as well use normal diesel and b******s to the planet.




p.s. that was a slight rant by the way.........I'm o.k. now tho'.

Just read bin some info & sounds as though "the UK Government (in their wisdom) has pledged to reduce Carbon Dioxide by 20% by 2010 & 60% by 2050". What about the People !!!!!
C&E has it's own idea's It's pledged to Increase Tax revenue & reduce Tax evasion on Vegoil use, no matter how many planets we save.

There's alway's a Payback.... You just don't see it Comin !!!!
