Somehow, I had managed to hook the seatbelt around the conveniently located lever on the right hand side of the seat and the act of pulling myself forward to look out the windscreen had applied the necessary tension to release the lever.

I did that once too- driving along at 50'ish, pulled at the seat belt to tighten it- then suddenly found myself looking up at the sunroof!!! Scary stuff....
