Here are some pictures I took on my phone of my new smoked bonnet protector and wheel cover from Roughtrax. They aren't that good as it was pretty dark when I took them, and at the end of the day there is only so much a mobile can do in the dark. I ordered them late Wednesday night on the computer, and they were delivered at 12:30 on Friday.
With the bonnet protector, you are supposed to stick these little clear rubber things called "Bumpons" onto your bonnet to stop the guard scratching your paintwork, or rubbing on it. I thought these would be a bit hit and miss, as they are so small. So I went to B&Q and bought a 5mtr roll of self adhesive pipe lagging. This stuff is black in colour and about 2 1/4" wide. I stuck this two strips wide the whole length of the bonnet guard, underneath facing the paintwork. This stuff is like a thin felt, so is plenty soft enough to protect the paintwork. I also put some thin strips on the bits that go underneath the bonnet. I might remove these however, as when shut the bonnet guard is slightly touching the top of the chrome grill surround.
Have a look at the pictures and see what you think??
