      i grew up near Swindon which is actually pronounced by the locals as ' that godforsaken cr@phole at the top of the hill'

                  I go through a hamlet on the way to work every day and it's called.......

                  Worlds End. And to look at the place you would certainly think so too!!

                    The ones that make me laugh are what Matt mentioned.

                    Towcester and Bicester.

                    Pronounced Toaster and Bister. But I've heard people say Tow-ses-ter and Bi-ses-ter. Makes me laugh every time.


                    But when it comes to our Welsh neighbours, forget it. There is a place we deliver to called Fforest Fach near Swansea. Well you can imagine what we call it....

                    And we do a collection at a factory called Katsouris in Park Royal. Well that is called Cat-Sore-Ar*e.....

                      That's a real place?! I got lost there on the way home after a late night return journey from Cornwall. It was about 3am, hammering down with rain. The first road sign I came across said 'World's End', I just thought it was an omen that I'd driven into oblivion...
