Close, 4" is the min recommended lift for 33's, and more if you have lots of offset on the wheels.

Can I assume that I can wind the bars up to give another 1 1/2" of lift if I need to, combined with a body lift kit of 1 1/2" - 2" plus rear spring spacers, and wheels spacers, will give me enough clearance to fit the 33" tyres?

    So many questions eh

Cheers Tony, but how far can I wind up the torsion bars that I have given the gap at the mo is approx 14"?

Depends how frequently you fancy replacing the CV joints...

          hehe...

Like I said above, 1 1/2" over stock is the max recommended unless you have manual hubs, then you can go a little more, but to much will make the front unpredicable as the stock T/bars will be over loaded, hense the need to uprated ones.

i'll be interested in the outcome of this one.

will need to measure the sizes from top of wheel to archs and see what it is.

i have 2" suspension lift, uprated torsion bars & 2" rear spring spacers. dont know how much the torsion bars are cranked up though.

whats the chances of one of you guys who are already running 33's with no probs giving us a defo height.

            thanks again scotty

I can give you one deffo answer, 4" suspension lift, 10" wide wheels with about -20mm offset and 32mm wheel spacers rub on full lock with 33" BFG A/T's.

i take it that means i have no chance then?

i just wondered, because of toymota running 33s with only a 3" body lift.

                cheers scotty

                  Thanx Tony, appreciate the advice,

There's a couple of things you could do if rubbing is a problem. In the attached photo you can see I have removed the front wheel mud guards and the bumper (difficult to see this) has been moved forward away from the tyres about 15mm.

I cn see you've moved the bumper, 'cos it's almost touching the A-bar.

Mine used to catch the inside of the front mud flaps on fall lock(a little trim with the snips cured that)and when i was running the stock bumper they would just catch the little arch extension thingy,s at the front so i just ran with out them until i changed my front bumper, but i havn,t raised my front torsion bars on mine it,s still stanard height apart from the 3" body lift and i,m ruuning 10x15 with 32mm spacers,i measuered the gap on mine from top of front wheel to bottom of arch and it,s 17 1/4" give or take a mm!

front & rear both 15" from top of wheel
23and a quarter from centre of wheel

Mmmmmmmmmmm!! That gives me some hope of doing this with winding up the torsion bars, and also rear spring spacers. Later on I will go for the full suspension lift - once I have a few more pence!!

                            Cheers, Nick
