You'll be needing another flux capacitor then?

I think there's one on the breaker thread

I think that this actually shows that the front wings and front panel do a pretty good job of being a crumple zone. Looking at the sides of the car and the bonnet they look as if they have escaped relatively unscathed along with the chassis. However I think that for your own piece of mind you need to make sure that when it is rebuilt that the chassis is checked for straightness.

Once again glad the family escaped OK. Why is it always around the time coming up to christmas that so much s**t happens to everyone. I think we should move christmas to another part of the year, it's obviously bad news it being in the winter.

      Cheers

thanks again to everyone, simple scenario, the car did its job, the family are safe, the car is of no importance.

        @ Lucky,

there is no damage to passenger door and it has not been shunted backwards, seam and gap around door area is equal and door opens ok, all force was taken by front end...................thankful ly

Interesting pics, I beat any car without a chassis would be totalled with that amount of damage.

Another score for the Surf! rebuildable after a shunt.

            Best wishes.

This is the first time I have logged on after a busy couple of days. Just about everything has been said. All the best to Mrs Fieldsy and the little one.
Just for interest. My brother is swapping my tyres round on Tuesday and doing the tracking. He has told me not to trust the spare, as it has never been on the truck and is showing signs of perishing on the sidewalls.
I'm just gald the family are OK.
                It's only a hobby!
